Street Vendor Economy

The street-stall and small-store economy is an important source of employment and human culinary culture — it’s part of China’s livelihood just as much as larger, high-end businesses, As China's economy is recovering from the fallout of the coronavirus pandemic, the so-called vending economy is in the spotlight with groups and individuals from all walks of life participating.

Driven by the booming trend, large catering brands such as KFC and Pizza Hut are making moves to embrace business opportunities by launching street mobile breakfast stalls in cities in China.

Technology and e-commerce giants including Alibaba, JD.com, Tencent and Meituan-Dianping have announced support measures to help those in the street vending sector.

With uncharacteristic speed, cities like Shanghai and Chengdu have taken steps to promote their street stall economies. Even Wuhan joined in as the coronavirus threat receded.

Just Chengdu had 1,636 roadside operating areas, and allowed 18,260 temporary promotion areas and 16,975 operating spots for mobile vendors. Chengdu had generated 100,000 jobs overnight by setting up 36,000 street vending units.

Enterprises in China have never been stingy about their overseas procurement, as the domestic market opens wider to imported products and services, the imported products starts to grow on the Chinese consumers ,

We have the reason to believe that China's "Street Vendor Economy" will bring more and greater business opportunities to the world's Original Commodity.
